Today has been a great day. Dain and I both accomplished everything we set out to do, and we have great news for everyone else as well!
First off, Auditorium has been chosen to kick-off the Independent Developers Showcase being hosted by the Escapist Magazine. This is a great honor and we are truly proud. You can find the article with an exclusive interview over on their site. Look out, because there are some great interviews coming up. I am personally excited about hearing from the creators of World of Goo, 2D boy. World of Goo is just super awesome!
Finally, the most important news of all! We have a release date for Auditorium! We will be releasing the full game on January 30th for the bargain price of $10.99. For all of you wondering, Auditorium will still be a browser based game. More news will be coming soon on all sorts of info from the final level count to new controls as well as beta testing. So, stay tuned, we have a lot of great things coming up soon!

Congrats guys for this invitation to the showcase !
And thank you for this release date. I stay tuned
January 19th, 2009 at 10:33 pm
I stay tuned too! this is awesome! Congrats! can wait til 30th.
January 19th, 2009 at 10:38 pm
Still browser based? Interesting…
January 19th, 2009 at 10:40 pm
Music to my ears! (pun intended)
And, well of course it’s broswer based…it’s flash game!
January 19th, 2009 at 10:42 pm
sounds fun, i wana beta test it xD
still over a week, anyone have a time machine i can use to get there that moves faster than the speed of time? =p
January 19th, 2009 at 10:49 pm
Wait, so do I have to pay 10.99 to play it online or to download it to like an iTouch. Is there anyplace that I can legitimately play auditorium (full) for free?
January 19th, 2009 at 10:51 pm
This was the most fun I’ve had with ANY game for over a year, and that includes console games and PC games of all genres. I got something like 10 people hooked on it, and we had a competition to see who could beat it the fastest (me, of course). I can’t wait to play the full version, although the price is a bit steep for a poor student like me :-D. This seems like the perfect iPhone/iTouch game, I can’t wait for that (if it’s coming). What a perfect combination of visuals and game interaction. Thanks for the hard work guys!
January 19th, 2009 at 10:52 pm
Can’t Wait! I love the music to this game. I’ve played the demo at least 9 times now. Thank you guys for designing such a unique video game! I can’t wait to beta test.
January 19th, 2009 at 10:53 pm
hotter than sriracha!
January 19th, 2009 at 10:53 pm
I can’t wait. This is the best, and most interesting, game I played in 08.
January 19th, 2009 at 10:56 pm
This is the best browser game I have EVER played! I can’t wait for it to release! I especially loved the music and amazing graphics. On a side note, nice little thing at the top of the page.
January 19th, 2009 at 11:12 pm
Congrats everyone. I’m excited to play the full version, i’ve had many hours with the existing version and have shared it with many friends whom all love it.
January 19th, 2009 at 11:13 pm
Don’t get me wrong: I love Auditorium. My question has become, though, why did I donate to further development of a commercial application? It would seem one would either (a) accept donations or (b) sell a product, but not both concurrently. Am I missing something here?
January 19th, 2009 at 11:38 pm
I’m really excited to see the full version of the game. Congratulations again on developing such a hit. You should be very proud of the work you’ve done.
I’ll buy a license for sure.
January 20th, 2009 at 12:03 am
sweet news guys!!
cant wait to see this as a finished project!
360/ps3/wii worthy?!
>:D
January 20th, 2009 at 12:09 am
Can’t wait for the full game. This game is made for the Iphone. The app store is a proven launchpad and it would be great to see you guys there as well.
January 20th, 2009 at 12:22 am
So.. we’re paying to play it still in our browser? Or as a downloadable Flash game for Mac/PC? I’m confused but excited.
*ps: iPod Touch PLEASE.
January 20th, 2009 at 12:29 am
OH YA BABE!! its a gonna be a great day on the 30th! Keep up the excellent work!
January 20th, 2009 at 12:34 am
Absolutely destined to be an iPhone game. It would be great to see it there ASAP
That was a very unsubtle hint, btw.
January 20th, 2009 at 12:47 am
This game is going to be great! The $11 is really cheep (but still appreciated) for a game this great. Thanks!
January 20th, 2009 at 12:51 am
Wow! I can’t wait to see (hear) the rest of the music. Such an innovating game. I’ll hold my congrats till the 30th thanks for the mail.
January 20th, 2009 at 1:01 am
congrats on the (future) release.
I was excited about this game.. really enjoyed the demo a while back, but I’m sad to say the same thing is happening to me that happened a while ago, but even worse now.
it used to be that i could play the game in normal in-browser mode, but when i switched to full screen mode it slowed down my machine to like 2 frames a second, and often hung up completely. So, i just played in normal browser mode.
Now, tho, i get 2 frames per second in any mode… i have the newest versions of windows xp 64-bit, Firefox, and Flash.. all updated.. with a fast computer. No idea why this is the only flash game I’ve ever run across that hangs me up like that. It’s a shame, i really wanted to buy it. Sounds like no one else is having the problem tho, so…
Good luck, and gratz again on finishing the game.
January 20th, 2009 at 1:08 am
sorry, i meant i have vista 64-bit.. just wanted to correct that in case you are bug tracking
cheers
January 20th, 2009 at 1:10 am
Blown away by demo. I’m excited for the full version. Put the game on Steam and it will take off just like World of Goo did!
January 20th, 2009 at 1:16 am
Good job on you guys, and no doubt you worked hard to make it but $11 seems a little high to start based on what some other iPhone/iPod Touch games are selling for. Would want to know # of levels and if it would ever come to a handheld device. I think $7.99 might get ultimatly more sales in the end. Just a thought.
January 20th, 2009 at 3:13 am
Ahhh maan. So I DO have to pay to play this wonderful game. Ahh maaan. I was really hoping that this game could be it. That this game will be a REAL game where you play for the love of game. Paying ruins everything. I’m really sad ;..(
January 20th, 2009 at 3:52 am
Will we be able to download the soundtrack separately? Will this have a charge?
And I agree, why charge and take donations?
January 20th, 2009 at 4:07 am
I didn’t know we had to pay to play the full version of this game…kinda ruins everything. I’m definitely not going to be able to pay for this game…
January 20th, 2009 at 4:34 am
Congrats on the showcase, but guys I think you’re making two big mistakes. Charging for the game, and making it online only.
Firstly, I was happy to donate to you guys since this was one of the most innovative games I played last year - but the fact that you’ll be charging $11 really makes that taste quite bitter, especially if it’s online only.
Bringing me onto my second point. If the $11 bought me a full download copy with the uncompressed soundtrack (download or preferably CD) then I would be happy to pay it (although I still don’t think you should have accepted donations). But for a flash game? It’s limited by its format, no matter how well you do it. Will flash run in 1920×1200? I wanted this game because it was beautiful - both visually and audibly - but there are plenty of beautiful games out there.
I hope you consider this post sincere and not just someone complaining because they don’t want to pay. I also hope I’m mistaken about the points above, or there’s something you aren’t telling us, because it seems like it might be too late for you to change your minds.
January 20th, 2009 at 5:20 am
Congratulations. I’m looking forward to playing the whole game; I just wish that you would package it as a downloadable flash game as well as a browser-based one. Let us know when to preorder.
January 20th, 2009 at 5:49 am
I will be happy to pay for this game when it comes out… but only if it is downloadable. I don’t find being tethered to my internet connection appealing, especially not for a game that has no obvious requirements for being connected.
January 20th, 2009 at 6:10 am
iPhone version soon???
January 20th, 2009 at 7:04 am
Congrats… You guys rock!!!
I will be happy to pay for the full release…!!
I stay tuned…
January 20th, 2009 at 8:54 am
I cannot wait for the full release. Though I do wish there was an offline version of the game so I could play it when away from the net. Perhaps in the future… haha Regardless I will definitely be throwing down the cash when it comes out as this is one of the most innovative and absorbing games I have ever experienced!! It just draws you in.
January 20th, 2009 at 9:12 am
This game is really fun. However, I just played Crayon Physics and then returned to Auditorium. It’s hard to justify paying for Auditorium in my opinion - I’d almost rather make the investment in Crayon Physics.
January 20th, 2009 at 9:18 am
Best news I’ve heard all month, and I’ve got no issue with the price. I would prefer the option to have a downloadable version of the game, however, but for something this unique I’d pay $10.99 in a heartbeat.
January 20th, 2009 at 9:28 am
Yesterday was my birthday, and I’ve gotta say, that annoucement was one of the best presents I got
January 20th, 2009 at 10:41 am
Accept donations, then ask for full price. Pretty weak if you ask me. You need to offer those people who donated a reduced price, if not free.
January 20th, 2009 at 10:55 am
Anyone interested in learning more about the donations, please go check the latest blog post. I’m sorry we waited to so long to release that information, we wanted it to be a surprise.
January 20th, 2009 at 2:13 pm
Haha! Congratulations!
It’s such a good game, and finally it’s gonna be released.
I have a question though, you guys planning on releasing the game outside the USA?
January 20th, 2009 at 6:19 pm
CHYEA!
Also, Ipod touch PLOXXXXXX
January 22nd, 2009 at 11:08 am
Sweeet! Released on my birthday! What a great present!
January 23rd, 2009 at 2:55 pm
I lov the game, but I can’t justify $11 for a browser only game. Please consider releasing a downloadable version through one of the direct sales sites. Best of luck with the game and congrats on the well deserved recognition.
January 23rd, 2009 at 4:42 pm
What exactly does $10.99 get me? Sounds Great and I love the game, but I agree with Matt if it’s just browser based.
January 26th, 2009 at 2:52 pm
I was shown this game about a week ago, and loved it. It is such a pleasant surprise to find out it is going to be released so shortly, I feel sorry for you folk who discovered it sooner and had to wait longer. =) I will definitely be getting this game on the 30th, it will be well worth it.
January 30th, 2009 at 6:39 am
Brilliant game guys, my housemates and i are all indie game fanatics and we think that your demo is awesome. Its a real shame that you are keeping it as a browser game though. I think a lot of people, myself included are put off by paying for something with no phyisical (you know what i mean) access to it.
Good Luck anyway! Well done for trying something different!
January 30th, 2009 at 9:51 am
Yay!!! It’s the 30th, and I’ve waited forever to get this game and play the paid version but… I CANNOT FIND IT!! Did you guys update the game on another site and I just can’t find it? Or did you not upload the full version yet?
When you do, please email me and let me know! I will be first in line to get it.
January 30th, 2009 at 11:27 am
Same here… something tells me this is gonna be blocked at work, but at least it’d be nice to know this is ready when I get home!
January 30th, 2009 at 2:00 pm
So it’s finally out, huh?
Cool…let me guess, you’re not selling it outside the US…:(
January 30th, 2009 at 2:21 pm
We don’t have it in the US yet, either. Don’t get discouraged just yet.
January 30th, 2009 at 5:14 pm
I can’t wait i absolutely love this game :3
The beautiful infusion of incredible music and relaxing game play is amazing.. well done guys
I would love to help out on beta testing
If not to buy the game.. also it would be incredible if you got as far as to bring out a game of this on wii or iphone because i think that it would enhance gameplay
January 30th, 2009 at 5:37 pm
Guys, I have money that I want to give you! Release the game and the money’s all yours.
January 30th, 2009 at 8:46 pm
7:43PM CST and still no launch… I hope things are going OK. Good luck and please let us know if the release date has been delayed… I can’t wait to play the full game…
January 31st, 2009 at 1:52 am
Hrm, I hope nothing bad has happened. I was really looking forward to this.
Hope an email comes when it gets released.
January 31st, 2009 at 2:41 am
We wait, we need to play on full game !!! :’(
January 31st, 2009 at 6:43 pm
I’m with Charlotte completely on this - it’d be cool on the Wii, but Auditorium is a game MADE for the iTouches if ever one has existed.
This sucker could yet wean me off of Peggle.
February 2nd, 2009 at 7:38 am
Привет всем!!!
Интересно почему должно быть так!! Аха что еще придумаешь???
February 4th, 2009 at 1:35 pm
So, I bought the game and now nothing is happening! I could play the free demo just fine yesterday. Could this be because of the high volume of clients trying to play right now? Maybe this should have been a downloadable game for offline play as I originally hoped.
May 4th, 2009 at 4:24 am
now I’ll stay tuned..
July 28th, 2009 at 3:20 am
круто
кстати есть и другие темы. Я даже могу фотку вам скинуть но почты не нашел. лучше думаю просто залить на фото обменник.
