Auditorium + MusicRx

Cancer f#@%ing sucks. No question about it. If you’ve ever known someone with cancer, you know just how scary and devastating it can be. You also know how important hope can be.

Through MusicRx, the Children’s Cancer Association is helping to promote a bit of hope, happiness, and comfort to children fighting cancer. The program is aimed at providing kids with a therapeutic means of escape while allowing them to express themselves through music. MyMusicRx is a place for kids to explore and listen to music, play music-based games, learn about musical artists and sports stars, and connect with others.

To help the cause, Auditorium is now available to MyMusicRx kids as a free to play game. You can also help the cause by searching for and purchasing your iTunes music through iTunes will donate up to 5% of all purchases to the Children’s Cancer Association.

Auditorium is Going Downloadable!

Auditorium Standalone GraphicWe’ve finally gotten around to creating a standalone version of Auditorium, and it’s heading to the Steam Store and the Cipher Prime Store! Expect to see it up in the next few weeks!

I bought the web-based Auditorium already. So, do I get a downloadable version?

Sure! If you are an existing purchaser, once everything is on the Cipher Prime Store and finalized on the Steam Store you will be able to redeem your game. You can download it straight from your products page.

Is there anything new in the game? Why are you releasing it as a standalone version?

No, aside from a new main menu, this version of Auditorium is the same as the classic full version. This standalone release is coming because fans have been asking for this for a while, and because we’re transitioning our titles away from browser-based games.

I’d rather just play on the website, can I still do that?

Yes. However, we are going to be moving the game from the website to a dedicated page on the Cipher Prime website. No need to worry about that, though, because will automatically redirect you to the proper place!

Will my progress from the web version be saved if I start playing on the standalone version?

Unfortunately, no. We’re sorry! In addition to moving the game off of, and to make the standalone version slightly better, we’re storing all the save information locally on the user’s machine. This includes the web version! In order to cut down on server fees we will no longer be maintaining the PlayAuditorium database, so the local save means your progress will only be saved on the machine you play on.

So, what else have you been up to? Anything new? How’s your mum?

If you’ve been following any Cipher Prime news, you’ll know we’ve been working on a neat little puzzler called Splice. Well, we’re putting the finishing touches on that game and you’ll hear more about it the near future!

And expect to hear from us soon about a KickStarter campaign we’re getting set to launch. Something to do with a sequel…a bigger, better, multiplayer one!

She’s doing well, thanks for asking!

Auditorium HD. PS3. November 23rd.

A lot of you have been wondering: whatever happened to that contest we won? Wasn’t Auditorium supposed to be coming to platforms or something?

Well it is. The culmination of many months of work is upon us, with Auditorium HD coming to PS3 on November 23rd! The game looks and plays awesome on the system, and we’ve put a lot of work in with indiePub (the Publisher) and Empty Clip Studios (the Developer) to make the best console experience for Auditorium we could muster. Auditorium HD contains the entire playlist from the online version (now called Auditorium Classic), as well as an entirely new playlist called Auditorium Modern, with 78 new levels and brand-spanking new audio!

The producer from indiePub put his thoughts up on the Official Playstation blog.

This is really special for us. To be honest, we’re not sure the reality of having created a game on the PS3 has even hit us yet. November 23 will be a momentous day for our little Cipher Prime Team and we can’t wait to share it with you. For everyone who donated so long ago, you’ve changed our lives and I hope we never go back to the old sludge of things.

In celebration, we’ll be releasing some more information soon on a super-secret new title we’ve been silently cooking up. If you look, you’ll notice there haven’t been any updates in awhile. We have been working incredibly hard behind the scenes on this new title and we’ll be able to share soon! Keep in touch!

Auditorium in the CP Store!

We’re pushing an update that will finally link Auditorium and the Cipher Prime Store! You’ll no longer need to remember two different usernames and passwords!

The update process is very simple and streamlined — all you’ll need to do is log into your Auditorium account and follow the instructions there. If you already have a CP Store account, you’ll be able to link Auditorium; if you don’t, you’ll be able to easily create one. And all of your progress in Auditorium will still be saved.

This change also means that Auditorium will benefit from the Store’s streamlined purchase process. You’ll be able to log into the store, click the Auditorium link, and be automatically logged in — and vice-versa.

Both sites will be down for a few hours while we push this update. You can contact us anytime at if you have any questions about the transition.

Auditorium Free on the iDevices!

Since the launch of Auditorium on the iPhone, iPod Touch, and iPad we have received a lot of feedback on the price. Luckily for you, we listen. We have talked at length with EA Mobile about what we can do for you. So, for a limited trial we are offering Auditorium on the iDevices for FREE!

This is really exciting and we hope it works out. Please help us keep this trial going by spreading the word and downloading your free copy today. I really hope we’re able to keep the base install free and start presenting a much better business model for you guys.

Please Note: Additional act packs will still cost 99 cents.

Please let us know your thoughts or concerns!

Indie Games == Love

So what happens when 6 great indie game developers come together in the month of love? Well, there really is only one option… The Indie Love Bundle. Inspired by nothing short of pure happiness, we have teamed up with Amanita Design, Broken Rules, Citeremis, Hemisphere Games, and Omni Systems to bring you a great gaming bundle.

From now until Friday the 19th at 11:59PM EST you can go grab And Yet it Moves, Auditorium, Aztaka, Eufloria, Machinarium, and Osmos from for the amazingly low price of $20.00 USD. That’s an $85 dollar value at a fraction of the cost!

What’s more exciting than this bundle? The fact that this is one of the first times a group of Indie Game developers have come together offering a game bundle to the world without any big distributor in the way. Not only is the bundle cheap, all your hard earned cash goes directly to the developers. This really is a bundle of love.

Enjoy and don’t forget the trailer!

iPhone Update Bug

We are currently having a bit of a problem with the latest update of Auditorium on the iPhone. This bug only affects you if:

  1. You already own the full version of Auditorium on the iPhone
  2. You already own additional level packs of Auditorium on the iPhone
  3. You upgraded Auditorium within the past 24 hours

If you are among the people who meet these three guidelines I apologize, but it seems like your DLC content will not work at the moment. That said, we are working with EAMobile and Apple right now to get a fix ready ASAP. I will let you know as soon as this issue is resolved. If you meet these requirements and have not currently updated I would hold off until we’ve given the word.

If you are purchasing Auditorium on the iPhone for the first time this update will not affect you at all and you shouldn’t have any problems. Please accept our apologies while we are working to resolve this bug.

  2. You must be clearly visible in the photo. We need to see that you’re a real person, and that you are grinning.
  3. The photo should be a plain image attachment, or a link. Zipped, Rarred, Tarballed, or otherwise bothersome entries will not be considered.
